Live Fresh with Charlotte’s Farmers Markets

Farmers markets are great for your health. They are an excellent source of organic foods, and fruits and vegetables which are responsibly grown, harvested and shipped to your local neighborhood. They can also be a fun experience, as you get to wander among the stalls which showcase a variety of interesting products, and you can speak with farmers, artists, and other artisans about their trade and their products. You can ask them about farm life, about how they grow their produce, and learn about their animals and learn about their crops. The farmer’s market experience is a little slice of the country in the heart of the city.

All produce at the market is fresh and seasonal. The farmers bring their fruits to the market themselves, so it cuts out several steps in the distribution process which your food would have to go through at traditional grocery stores. This makes for healthier, riper fruits and vegetables, and fresher meats, eggs, and cheeses.
